Today I rode on a motorbike for the first time. It’s one of those small ‘motos’ that drive slow and close to the ground. I was finishing up my morning badminton session when a fellow player offered me a ride. It felt a bit like a Taiwanese movie moment as I put my hands on his shoulders and we drove past Ditan Park (地坛公园).

The cool bike breeze made the 40 degree (celsius) heat disappear for a sweet 5 minutes, during which I exclaimed: “超爽哦!” (chao1 shuang3 o1; “this is so cool!”).
